Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Provider Platform

This Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Provider Platform is managed by Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong (GHK), an accredited CNE Provider recognized by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong, to facilitate the administration and maintenance of records relating to CNE activities organized by GHK and to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and professional requirements.

Access to this platform is restricted to the authorised CNE Administrators accredited by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong and authorised personnel of GHK.

GHK is committed to providing a secure and user-friendly platform to support continuing professional development. All personal data will be handled in strict confidence and in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.

Purpose of Access

Authorised CNE Administrators are granted access to the GHK CNE Provider Platform solely for the purpose of verifying Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) records relating to CNE activities organised by GHK for verification, accreditation, audit and regulatory purposes.

Access is strictly limited to these authorised purposes.

Scope of Personal Data

Authorised CNE Administrators may access the following categories of personal data:

  1. Participant identification information (e.g. name).
  2. Professional registration information.
  3. CNE training records and attendance information.

Confidentiality and Use of Personal Data

All personal data accessed through this platform must be treated as strictly confidential.

Authorised CNE Administrators are required to:

  1. Use personal data only for the authorized purposes stated above.
  2. Access information strictly on a need-to-know basis.
  3. Refrain from disclosing, copying, downloading, reproducing, or sharing personal data with unauthorized persons.
  4. Ensure that personal data is not retained longer than necessary for the authorized purpose.

Personal data must not be used for any unrelated, personal, or unauthorized purpose.

Data Protection and Legal Compliance

All collection, access, use, disclosure, storage, and handling of personal data must comply with:

  1. The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.
  2. Applicable GHK policies, procedures, and information security requirements.

Personal data must not be used, disclosed, or transferred without proper authorization, except where required by law.

Access Control

  1. Access rights are granted only to accredited CNE Administrators using the authorized email address registered on this CNE Provider Platform for authentication purposes.
  2. Access is granted on a role-based and time-limited basis.
  3. All access activities may be logged, monitored, and reviewed for audit, security, and compliance purposes.
  4. GHK reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or revoke access where misuse, unauthorised access, or non-compliance is identified.

Data Security Responsibilities

All authorized users are responsible for ensuring:

  1. Secure handling of all information accessed through the platform.
  2. Protection against unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, alteration, or misuse of personal data.
  3. Appropriate disposal of any downloaded or printed information, where such downloading or printing has been expressly authorized.

Sensitive information must not be stored on personal devices or on systems that have not been approved by GHK.

Data Retention

Personal data accessed through this platform shall not be retained beyond the period necessary to fulfil the authorized purpose for which access was granted.

Declaration

By accessing this platform, you acknowledge and confirm that you are authorised to access CNE training records solely for verification, accreditation, audit, or regulatory purposes.

You agree to:

  1. Access personal data strictly on a need-to-know basis.
  2. Use personal data only for authorized purposes.
  3. Not disclose, copy, retain, or distribute personal data beyond what is necessary for the authorized purpose.
  4. Comply with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and all applicable GHK policies and procedures.

All access to the platform is logged and monitored. Any unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or misuse of information may result in the termination of access privileges and other actions as deemed appropriate by GHK.
